Aion 2 Stronghold Guide: Enemy Targets and Progression Tips

Stronghold Battles can become a major part of Aion 2 Kinah progression because the resources they provide feed into several upgrade systems. Players who approach these battles without a plan can easily spend a lot of time on targets that do not match their current progression needs.

Your Aion 2 Kinah situation can influence how quickly you improve your character, but Stronghold efficiency comes down to more than currency. The order in which you clear objectives, the timing of your move into enemy territory, and your group's handling of towers all have a direct impact on how productive each run becomes.

Clear Domestic Objectives While Leveling

Your faction's own Strongholds are the natural starting point.

Look for the question-mark markers across regions such as Verteron or Altgard. These locations provide resources that can support your early character development, including Diamondium Crystals, Ancient Stones, and materials associated with amulet and bracelet upgrades.

For players still working through their normal progression, these rewards are useful because they arrive alongside content you are already equipped to handle.

There is little reason to turn your first Stronghold experience into a high-risk expedition. Clear the domestic objectives available to you, learn how the encounters work, and use the rewards to strengthen your character.

Avoid Creating a Level 45 Backlog

Saving every domestic Stronghold for the level 45 cap may look efficient on paper, but it can create a more difficult experience later.

Some Strongholds scale with character progression. That means an encounter you could have cleared comfortably earlier may become much harder when you return after reaching a higher level.

For this reason, organic progression is generally preferable. If a domestic Stronghold becomes available and your character can handle it without significantly disrupting your normal activities, clearing it at that point can save you from having to revisit a large collection of more difficult objectives later.

Move Across the Rift at the Right Time

Enemy territory should become your next major target once your character has enough power.

Around 16,000–16,700 Combat Power is a reasonable point to start considering the transition, although raw Combat Power should not be the only factor. Your core weapons and important equipment should also be adequately enhanced.

Space-Time Rifts appear periodically and provide access to opposing faction territory. Purple square markers on the map make them easier to identify.

The key is to treat each Rift trip as a planned expedition. Entering enemy territory with weak equipment or an unclear objective can waste the opportunity. Before crossing, know what resource or Stronghold you are targeting and make sure your group can handle the expected opposition.

Enemy Strongholds Fill Important Gaps

Once you reach this stage, enemy-side Strongholds become increasingly valuable.

Domestic resources cannot provide everything required for end-game progression. Foreign crystals and other enemy-side materials are needed for certain progression-board requirements, making these objectives important for players who want to continue improving their stats.

This also changes the meaning of Stronghold Battles. They are no longer simply optional PvE locations. They become part of a larger progression route where the location of the objective determines the type of resource you can obtain.

Control the Towers Before Chasing Everything

During the actual encounter, your group's target priority can determine how manageable the fight feels.

Base towers should normally receive early attention. Each tower needs three Idioms to become active, so players should coordinate their actions around the tower instead of spreading damage across unrelated enemies.

More experienced groups can manipulate spawn patterns by using tactics such as faking a tower charge or double charging. The purpose is not simply to add complexity to the encounter. These techniques allow players to influence when enemy waves appear and create a more predictable battle.

It is worth learning the basic mechanics first. Once everyone understands the normal tower sequence, advanced timing tricks become much easier to use effectively.

Deal With Patrols Before They Become a Problem

Stronghold groups should also keep an eye on automated patrols.

Once a tower is activated, patrol enemies appear every two minutes. If nobody is assigned to deal with them, they can eventually push into the main formation and make the encounter much harder.

This is where mobile DPS classes can be especially useful. Rangers and Assassins can move quickly to intercept patrols while the tank and the rest of the group continue working on the main objective.

A small amount of role planning can therefore save the group from a lot of unnecessary pressure.

Turn Artifact Wins Into Abyss Progress

The Abyss introduces another layer of Stronghold strategy through its timed Artifact battles.

Three core Artifacts become the focus of large faction conflicts during a 48-hour cycle. Trying to dominate every objective is not always necessary. Securing at least one can already create a valuable opportunity.

Once an Artifact is controlled, the faction gains access to a special five-minute PvE farming zone. The short duration makes preparation important because players need to move quickly and make good use of the available time.

The reward is a substantial opportunity to build Abyss Points, so the battle should be viewed as the first step in a larger sequence rather than the final objective.

Build a Repeatable Stronghold Routine

A reliable routine is more useful than constantly changing targets. Start by clearing domestic Strongholds during normal progression, especially before scaling makes them inconvenient. After reaching an appropriate Combat Power level and improving your equipment, begin using Space-Time Rifts to reach enemy territory.

During Stronghold encounters, make tower activation the center of your attack plan and assign mobile players to patrol duty. In the Abyss, keep track of the Artifact cycle and make sure your faction is ready to use the five-minute farming opportunity after securing control.

For players preparing for increasingly difficult content, having suitable cheap Aion 2 Items available can reduce some of the pressure around equipment preparation while leaving the actual Stronghold strategy unchanged.
